The Adopt-A-Ball was discovered by a wordly traveler of yore known only as THE BALL FINDER. His life was devoted to rescuing these wondrous spheres, finding new homes for them, and all the while learning their inner secrets.
Adopt-A-Ball Headquarters was established to continue his efforts. Each year millions of golf balls are abused, lost or abandoned. A lucky few are saved from their plight, rescued by golf-loving friends and brought to us here in the Village of Pinehurst, an area that has long welcomed all those involved with this remarkable game. Each ball takes a hot bath and is nurtured back to health. We give them everything they need for a wonderful new life:
- A specially crafted cozy flannel pouch that acts as a green and a hole-in-one.
- Sand for sunbathing (from the Sandhills of North Carolina).
- A comfortable wooden tee on which to relax.
- An adoption certificate with humorous restrictions.
- Some helpful and insightful care instructions.
All that is needed is a caring partner. If you are true at heart and follow the guidelines set down in the adoption certificate, this ball will share all of its whimsical stories with you and bring endless good luck.
